Job Description
Job Title: DriverLocation: Strasburg OH 44680Duration: 12+ Months Pay Rate: $18.00/hr $21.00/hr on W2 without benefits Shift: 15x6Summary:The Driver is responsible for driving a vehicle. * Adhere to all driving related safety procedures.Budget and CompensationBonuses:
- Air slide runs
- Silo moves (up to 2 3 bonuses/day)
- Hotshot deliveries
- Per Diem: $15/day
- Reimbursable Expenses:
- Coverall laundry ($20/rotation)
- Checked baggage and airport parking
- Hazmat fingerprinting
- Business-related vehicle expenses (e.g., oil)
- Operate various vehicles including:
- Tractor trailer units
- Body load units
- 550s with gooseneck trailers
- Hook up hoses, run air slide controls, strap loads
- Hotshot pallets of chemicals between districts
- May assist equipment operators when needed
- Not a no-touch driving role physical involvement is required
- Must be able to drive manual transmission vehicles
- (Automatic transmission restrictions disqualify candidates due to limited availability of automatic trucks)
- Willingness to learn
- Adaptability to changing schedules and tasks
- Time management and self-regulation
- No minimum years of experience required
- Valid Class A CDL
- Air brakes endorsement
- Tanker endorsement
- Manual transmission capability required
- Hazmat endorsement is a plus but not required
- Minimum education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Travel required; housing and flights provided
- Local candidates preferred
- Local shuttle available in Strasburg district
- Based in Strasburg, OH
- Field/onshore, heavy industrial environment
- Hands-on, physically active role
- NEST
- HVT
- QUEST certifications
- Additional in-house and site-specific safety training
- Shadowing with experienced drivers before solo assignments
- Rotation: 15 days on / 6 days off
- Hours: Up to 14 hours/day, occasionally 16 hours/day
- Typically work up to 70 hours/week, followed by a DOT reset
- Weekly Average: 70 80 hours/week
- Strap loads
- Hook up hoses
- Operate trailer and body load units
- Not a sedentary or drive-only role
- DOT reset compliance required
- Emergency evacuation and site-specific safety training included
- One round, typically phone interview
- In-person possible for local candidates
- No formal driving test
