As our Dry Kiln Supervisor, you'll lead a skilled crew of Dry Kiln Technicians and Forklift Operators, driving performance and safety across our kiln operations. You'll be at the heart of our production process-keeping things running smoothly, solving problems on the fly, and inspiring your team to reach new heights. What You'll Do:
- Champion safety by maintaining high standards and ensuring full compliance with policies and regulations.
- Lead, coach, and support your team to deliver top-tier performance in kiln operations.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and assist with preventative maintenance to keep operations running efficiently.
- Oversee the loading and unloading of lumber with precision and care.
- Collaborate with Production and Maintenance teams to meet and exceed operational goals.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce costs, and boost productivity.
- Foster a culture of open communication, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
What You Bring:
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience in an industrial environment, with a strong safety-first mindset.
- Solid understanding of heating systems and power equipment; kiln experience in lumber manufacturing is a strong asset.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to drive team performance in high-paced settings.
- Strong computer proficiency, including web-based tools and Microsoft Office.
- Maintenance experience is a plus.
- Grade 12 diploma, GED, or equivalent training (e.g., OSHA tickets, forklift certification).
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills with a proactive, can-do attitude.
