Job Description
This role is responsible for preparing accurate, competitive estimates for a high volume of commercial construction bids, with a strong focus on drywall scopes. You'll collaborate closely with a dedicated preconstruction team while playing a key role in winning and shaping upcoming projects. Description Prepare detailed and accurate estimates using On-Screen Takeoff software for commercial projects
Interpret architectural and engineering drawings, specifications and bid documents
Develop written proposals and competitive bids across drywall and related scopes
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local material, labour and equipment costs
Ensure compliance with local, city and state building codes
Manage and mentor junior estimators and project engineers to support team development
Continuously expand knowledge across drywall, acoustical systems, doors/frames/hardware (Div 8) and specialties (Div 10)Collaborate closely with operations and preconstruction leadership on bid strategy Profile Proven estimating experience on large-scale commercial projects (ideally $20M+)Strong background in drywall estimating; masonry experience a plus
Experience with On-Screen Takeoff or similar estimating software
Open to candidates from specialty subcontractors or general contractors
Residential experience considered only if paired with commercial estimating work
