This position is responsible for setting up and operating dual wire submerged arc welding (SAW) equipment to fabricate heavy steel components while meeting engineering specifications, production schedules, and strict quality standards.The ideal candidate has previous dual wire SAW experience, strong blueprint reading skills, and a commitment to producing high-quality welds in a heavy manufacturing environment.Required Experience & Skills Previous Dual Wire Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) experience required Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings Strong understanding of welding procedures, metallurgy, and fabrication processes Experience using precision measuring tools, gauges, and weld inspection equipment Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials as required Reliable attendance and strong work ethicEssential Duties & Responsibilities Set up and operate dual wire submerged arc welding equipment Perform welds according to engineering drawings, welding procedures, and production requirements Prepare materials for welding, including fitting, alignment, and cleaning surfaces Monitor welding parameters and make adjustments to ensure proper weld quality Inspect completed welds for accuracy, penetration, and compliance with quality standards Operate overhead cranes and material handling equipment as needed Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Follow all company safety policies and manufacturing procedures Work closely with supervisors, quality personnel, and production teams to meet production goalsWeld Test RequirementsCandidates must successfully complete:1-inch plate weld test(root weld provided)Single Wire Sub Arc weld test Weld must successfully pass X-Ray and Ultrasonic Testing (UT) inspectionPreferred Qualifications Experience in heavy industrial or structural steel fabrication Experience operating overhead cranes Knowledge of ASME or AWS welding standards Ability to work independently with minimal supervisionPhysical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach throughout the shift Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly Ability to safely operate welding and material handling equipment while wearing required PPE Comfortable working around heavy steel, welding equipment, heat, and industrial machineryWork Environment Industrial manufacturing and fabrication facility Exposure to heat, welding fumes, dust, noise, and heavy materials Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times on the production floor Overtime opportunities available based on production needsWhy You'll Want This Opportunity Competitive starting pay of $21.25/hour with higher pay based on experience and qualifications Stable first-shift schedule with overtime opportunities Long-term temp-to-hire opportunity Opportunity to work on heavy industrial fabrication projects using specialized welding equipment Team-oriented environment with opportunities for career growth and advancementReady to Apply?Apply today for immediate consideration or call/text 918-582-0522 for more information.You can also apply in person at:Stand-By Personnel1531 E. 2nd St.Tulsa, OK 74120Monday Friday | 8 AM 4 PM
