Job Description
Essential Functions:
The E-Commerce Associate is responsible for identifying, researching, evaluating, photographing, and listing merchandise for online sale. This position plays an important role in maximizing the value and revenue potential of donated goods by recognizing unique, unusual, collectible, vintage, designer, and higher-value merchandise appropriate for E-Commerce platforms.
The ideal candidate has a strong eye for valuable merchandise and familiarity with jewelry, collectibles, designer brands, vintage items, or other specialty goods, along with the ability to research unfamiliar items and determine their potential resale value.
Responsibilities:
1. Sort, evaluate, and identify merchandise with strong potential for online resale.
2. Recognize unique, unusual, collectible, vintage, designer, and higher-value items that may generate increased E-Commerce revenue.
3. Identify and evaluate jewelry, including familiarity with jewelry styles, brands, materials, markings, and other indicators of potential value.
4. Recognize popular and high-value brands, designers, collectibles, and specialty merchandise across multiple product categories.
5. Research merchandise using online marketplaces, manufacturer resources, and other available tools to determine product details, market demand, and potential resale value.
6. Photograph merchandise and create clear, accurate, and appealing online listings.
7. Write detailed item descriptions that accurately communicate condition, features, measurements, brand, and other relevant information.
8. Accurately enter product and inventory information into E-Commerce systems.
9. Process individual items and groups of merchandise efficiently while meeting established production goals.
10. Properly assign listing numbers and organize inventory for retrieval and fulfillment.
11. Prepare sold merchandise for shipping accurately and within established deadlines.
12. Respond professionally to customer questions and concerns via email and phone.
13. Follow established E-Commerce policies, procedures, and quality standards.
14. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
15. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience or demonstrated knowledge in one or more of the following areas preferred: jewelry, collectibles, vintage merchandise, designer/luxury brands, antiques, specialty goods, resale, or online marketplaces.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed in an office and/or warehouse environment and may include low to moderate noise levels. The position requires the ability to manage multiple priorities and production deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
