Job Description
Job Overview:The Web Accessories & Compatibility Team is responsible for the creation and maintenance of product associations between all items in the B&H catalog. The department's goal is to elevate B&H's customers' shopping experience by guiding them, at scale, to a curated selection of compatible accessories that enriches their purchase.
The E-commerce Merchandiser utilizes in-depth knowledge of product compatibility and usage to recommend appropriate accessories across their assigned categories. In conjunction with monitoring sales performance and customer feedback on associated products, the Merchandiser is responsible for maintaining these product relationships over time to ensure they meet the department's guidelines and keeps up with industry trends.The role requires the candidate to have a solid understanding of e-commerce shopping behavior and website taxonomy while having exceptional attention to detail.
Essential Responsibilities:
Conduct extensive research within assigned categories to determine suitable accessory relationships; is diligent about staying current on product knowledge and emerging technologies.Apply basic merchandising techniques to determine optimal accessory hierarchy.Utilize B&H's proprietary PIM system in order to create and maintain appropriate product relationshipsRun and analyze multiple reports in order to pinpoint opportunities for improvement.Regularly meet with manager and team to discuss department goals and challenges.Partner with Buyers and Sales staff to prepare for and respond to company and customer needsCollaborate with Navigation Architects to update refinement data.Create customer-facing product groupings.Simultaneously work on additional department projects and initiatives.

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Minimum 2-4 years experience in either selling or utilizing pro video gear, PTZ cameras, video rigs, gimbals and dronesSkilled researcherInnately curious and a fast learnerExperience with data acquisition and analysisProficiency in Microsoft ExcelStrong verbal and written communication skillsStrong ability to multi-task and meet deadlinesUnderstanding of target customer needs and online shopping behaviorMust be exceptionally detailed-oriented and highly organizedSolid understanding of website structure, category hierarchy and refinement filtering
Preferred Education, Experience and Licenses:
Bachelor of Science degree
