Caregiver

Angels Elite Care, LLC is looking for a Caregiver to join our team. The Caregiver is responsible for the client comfort and safety in the home when the client needs assistance with their ADLs due to illness, injury, surgery, or disability. The Caregiver is responsible for assisting the client and their families in delivering the optimal level of care for their loved ones in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes, ensuring their well-being, safety, and quality of life are prioritized at all times.

The ideal candidate must be able to care for our clients, in their home with dignity, patience, compassion, and respect. This person will encourage and remain empathetic to the clients at all times.

Responsibilities: 

• Home assistance – Provide assistance with household chores, including cooking, and meal preparation, cleaning and laundry. Assistance in completing activities such as shopping and appointments outside of the home. Assist with medication reminders. Provide personal assistance with Activities of Daily Living. Personal services could include assistance with toileting, bathing, feeding and grooming. Assist with ambulation, and transfers.
• Complete daily documentation on client's care, and observation of client functioning and report changes to the agency supervisor.

• Companionship – Provide companionship and conversation by stimulating, encouraging and assisting an individual.  Provide companionship with compassion, kindness, and respect of the client and their family.

Requirements: 

• High school diploma preferred.
• Be eighteen (18) years of age.
• Must be able to complete a Criminal Background report.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds at a time
• Ability to reach, bend, kneel and stand.
• CPR training required, or (will provide)
• 1-2 years' experience in homecare preferred, will train.
• Must have valid Driver's License or I.D.
• Demonstrate ability to read, write, follow a written Plan of Care and document tasks performed.
• Be self-directed and work with minimal supervision
• Demonstrate good interpersonal communication skills.
• Have experience in cooking, cleaning, laundry, and shopping.
• Demonstrate ability to assist clients with ADL's and personal care needs.
