Job Description

Humble ISD - HVAC Indoor Air Quality Reports to: HVAC Supervisor. School/Department: Maintenance Department. Pay Grade: MT7 Manual Trades/Hourly. Days: 261. Wage/hour status: Non-Exempt/Hourly Created/revised: October 2023. Primary Purpose: Under general supervision: service, clean, and sanitize all air moving equipment in the District. The service and cleaning includes air filters, belts, bearings, coils, drain pans, drain lines, equipment housing, related ductwork, mechanical rooms, and mechanical yards. Assist other craftsmen as assigned. Work within designated time frames to accomplish assigned duties to ensure district buildings are in a condition of operating excellence. Qualifications: Education/Certification: High school diploma or GED. Valid Texas driver’s license with a good driving record. May be required to successfully complete job ability testing. Requires a State of Texas Maintenance Electrician License or Apprentice Electrician License. EPA Universal Certification - Preferred. Special Knowledge/Skills: Experience using computers or iPad. Knowledge to perform in all trade areas. Ability to write legible. Knowledge of safe work practices. Experience: Prefer 3 to 5 years of experience in general maintenance repairs or new construction.
