Job Description
Required Licenses/Experience:
- Licensed psychiatrist, psychologist, LCSW, LPC, LAC or LMFT who maintains a current, unrestricted license to practice in Louisiana.
- 2 years experience and/or training in working with clients who have substance use disorders (SUD).
Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site and direct professional supervision of unlicensed professionals.
- Provide direct care to clients utilizing core competencies of addiction counseling.
- Serve as a resource person for other professionals in their specific area of expertise.
- Attend and participate in care conferences, treatment planning activities, and discharge planning.
- Function as client's advocate in all treatment decisions affecting the client; and
- Prepare and write notes or other documents related to recovery (e.g. assessments, progress notes, treatment plans and discharges).
- Lead groups when needed.
Knowledge/Experience of the Following:
- Providing supervision utilizing evidence-based techniques related to the practice of behavioral health counseling.
- Survey methodology and tools.
- Court hearing procedures, rules and protocol.
Skills:
- Use of crisis intervention techniques.
- Develop individualized treatment plans.
- Perform group and/or client therapeutic assessments and counseling.
- Deliver training using acceptable methods and techniques.
- Refer inquiries to appropriate staff and agencies.
- Use of case management software systems.
- Application of social work and or mental health assessment techniques.
Work Hours:
This is a part-time contract position approximately up to 20 hours per week.
Hybrid role – opportunity to perform some responsibilities remotely but must be available to work onsite.
Must have the ability to pass a criminal background check, tb and drug test.
Job Type: Contract.
Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour.
Expected hours: 18 – 23 per week.
