Early Childhood Education Teacher

Location: The Learning Experience- Upper West Side, New York, NY

Pay: $20-$23 per hour

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday

Early Childhood Education Teacher

The Learning Experience- Upper West Side is seeking a passionate Early Childhood Education Teacher to create engaging learning experiences that support children's cognitive, social-emotional, language, and physical development.

This role focuses on implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum, fostering a positive classroom environment, and helping children build the foundational skills needed for future academic success.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and implement engaging, age-appropriate learning activities
• Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and language development
• Maintain a safe, nurturing, and organized classroom environment
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members
• Observe and document children's developmental progress
• Encourage curiosity, creativity, and independence through hands-on learning
• Communicate regularly with families regarding classroom activities and child development
• Follow New York State and NYC childcare licensing requirements

Qualifications

• BA or AA in Early Childhood Education preferred; CDA accepted
• Prior experience working in an early childhood classroom preferred
• Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Passion for creating positive learning experiences for young children
• Must meet New York State childcare licensing requirements

Compensation: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
