DIRECT HIRE Early Childhood Educator / Childcare Teacher opportunities!
The Early Childhood Educator / Childcare Teacher is responsible for all operations of the classroom including planning and implementing appropriate activities, ensuring children’s safety and well-being, maintaining a positive classroom environment and collaborating with staff and volunteers to provide high-quality child care.
Essential Functions:
- Maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children
- Plan and lead age-appropriate learning activities
- Supervise children during classroom, outdoor, and program activities
- Use positive behavior management techniques
- Communicate effectively with families and staff
- Maintain required assessments, lesson plans, reports
- Ensure compliance with licensing, health, and safety regulations
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development
- Support overall program operations as needed
Qualifications:
Candidates must meet Pennsylvania Child Care Licensing requirements.
Qualified applicants may possess:
- A high school diploma or GED with qualifying child care experience
- Coursework in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Human Services, or a related field
- An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field
- An equivalent combination of education and experience that meets state requirements
Placement and compensation will be based on qualifications and experience
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Ability to exercise sound judgement, remain flexible and professional
- Ability to lift up items weighing up to 60 pounds
