Musicologie Lakeway opened in November 2025 and we're growing fast. We need a teacher who lights up around little kids and their parents. You'll lead Musicologie Junior, our research-backed early childhood program for ages 0–5, and teach private lessons on piano, guitar or voice.
What you'll do
- Lead 40-minute Musicologie Junior classes for ages 0–5 and their grown-ups: singing, moving, dancing and playing simple instruments
- Teach private lessons (30/45/60 min) to students of all ages and levels
- Make every class a place where kids and parents feel welcome and want to come back
- Help build community through performances, group classes and events
What you need
- You play piano or guitar, or you sing
- Experience with young children, whether teaching, childcare or leading groups
- You're as comfortable talking with parents as you are singing with toddlers
- Weekday morning, afternoon/evening and/or weekend availability
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (we can't sponsor visas)
Bonus if you have
- A degree in music or early childhood education
- Experience performing or leading group classes
What you get
- Hourly pay of $30–40, based on experience, as a W-2 employee. Unlike studios that pay teachers as 1099 contractors, we pay half of your Social Security and Medicare taxes, you're covered by workers' comp and unemployment insurance, and you don't file quarterly estimated taxes.
