- Support the lead teacher in implementing daily classroom routines and developmentally appropriate activities
- Assist with supervision of children to ensure a safe, engaging, and positive learning environment
- Help maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and licensing standards
- Model Christ-like character, patience, and professionalism in all interactions
- Support children’s social-emotional development through positive guidance and redirection
- Communicate effectively with lead teachers and administration regarding classroom needs
- Follow all Central Christian School policies, Oregon licensing requirements, and safety procedures
- Experience working with children in a licensed early childhood or childcare setting
- Ability and willingness to comply with Oregon Department of Early Learning and Care (DELC) licensing requirements
- Must be enrolled in Oregon’s Central Background Registry (CBR) and be in good standing
- Ability to meet required training hours (CPR/First Aid, food handlers, and ongoing professional development)
- Genuine love for children and a heart for Christian education
- Prior experience in an infant, toddler, or preschool classroom
- Early childhood education coursework or enrollment in an ECE program
- Familiarity with classroom routines, ratios, and licensing documentation
- A personal commitment to Jesus Christ and agreement with Central Christian School’s Statement of Faith
- Willingness to support and model the school’s mission, vision, and core values
- Schedule varies based on classroom needs
- Active role requiring standing, bending, lifting children, and engaging at floor level
- Collaborative team environment within a licensed Early Education program
