Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department (ED/ER)

• Perform triage assessments and prioritize patient care according to acuity and emergency severity.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients presenting with acute illnesses, injuries, and medical emergencies.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and emergency treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, oxygenation status, neurological function, and patient response to treatment.
• Assist providers during emergency procedures, trauma resuscitations, code situations, and rapid response events.
• Stabilize critically ill and injured patients prior to admission, transfer, or discharge.
• Coordinate care with physicians, EMS personnel, respiratory therapists, laboratory staff, and specialty providers.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic health record.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations, infection prevention standards, patient safety initiatives, and emergency department policies.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
