Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for a medical assistant to add to our busy multi-specialty office and assist in coordinating all aspects of the care received in the Medical Office setting. Must be energetic, customer oriented, efficient, with strong multi-tasking and stress management skills.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program. In lieu of a Medical Assistant course

Experience: Primary Care or Specialist experience preferred. 3 years minimum experience with insurance authorizations, 5 years minimum in a medical office setting

Knowledge and Skills: Vitals, competency in lab and radiology orders, knowledge of medication rotation , record keeping, insurance authorizations, verifying eligibility for a wide range of HMOs/PPOs, and answering high volume calls

License/Certifications: Current BLS card from American Heart Association (AHA)

Equipment: EKG machine, blood pressure machine, otoscope, oxygen tank, stethoscope, nebulizer, glucose meter, thermometer, pulse-oximeter, computer, copy machine, fax Machine, and scanner

Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the job

Language: Spanish preferred

We offer comprehensive sleep diagnostic testing and state of the art pulmonary function testing.

Our medical group also includes hospitalist service that continue to deliver the highest quality care at San Antonio Regional Hospital, Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center, Montclair Hospital, Chino Valley Medical Center, and Kindred hospitals by working closely with other specialists.
