The Wasserstrom Company is the leading Food Service Distributor in the nation. Established in 1902, we are a family owned company with our headquarters in Columbus, Ohio. We currently have an opportunity available for an EDI Master Data Specialist. This position is responsible for creating and maintaining SAP SD Master Data, ensuring that it meets the necessary standards of data integrity for all uses within SAP ECC. Focus on maintaining, adding, changing and deleting customer master records, selected pricing conditions, EDI master data, and customer profile plus other master data tables on and as requested by sales basis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include:
Data to be maintained:
- SAP pricing conditions including inbound freight, freight thresholds, tariffs, and other factors impacting prices
- Mass setups/changes
- Custom tables associated with customer budgets, PO’s, order limits
- EDI Customer Master
- Custom Customer Master Profile
- Customer Master Records
Manage the relationship with internal departments and if necessary, contact customers to obtain information necessary, so service is provided in a timely and professional manner. Communicate and escalate identified service issues to the appropriate team.
Investigate and report invoice errors to the EDI team to see why the coding is failing in the EDI customer platform. Inform Sales on other errors based on manual order complications and discuss credits outside of EDI.
Managing the punchout inbox and completing the punchout request and communication with the EDI team, internal departments, customers and customers third party punchout provider.
Ongoing and periodic maintenance of all master data to ensure data integrity and uniformity – investigate and develop tools for improving processes and for data cleansing.
Running various department reports
Education and Experience:
Associate Degree or Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience1 - 2 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
Other Skills and Abilities:
•Proficient computer skills; ability to use MS Office Suite, including Outlook•Technical ability to learn and use a variety of software programs, such as SAP and EDI•Communicates well with others; speaks and writes clearly; asks for and offers help when needed•Interpersonal; resolves questions and concerns in a professional manner; maintains confidentiality•Detail oriented; meets quality standards and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness•Organized; completes work in a timely manner; able to prioritize and meet deadlines•Problem-solver; gathers and analyzes information skillfully and generates suggestions for improving work•Capable of working independently and as a member of a team; contributes to building a positive team spirit
