UW Medicine’s Patient and Family Education Services department has an outstanding opportunity for a Editor-Publications.

WORK SCHEDULE

  • 8 hours per week
  • Day Shift

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide editorial and proofreading feedback on all patient education documents produced by the Patient and Family Education Department
  • Use analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Utilize computer applications, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases. Perform data entry accurately and completely.
  • Conduct work tasks in a professional, friendly, customer focused manner, while maintaining confidentiality
  • Demonstrates knowledge of and adherence to UWMC policies/practice guidelines.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in English, journalism, humanities, or related field; OR four years of combined college education and editing experience; OR four years of full-time publication editing experience.
  • Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.
