Job Description

1ST SHIFT LEAD EDM OPERATOR NEEDED - BLUFFTON, INDIANA

A Leading Automotive Supplier in the Bluffton, Indiana area needs a 1st Shift Lead EDM Operator. This is a Full Time, Permanent, Direct Hire Position offering Competitive Compensation, Bonus Potential, Good Benefits, Paid Holidays and Paid Vacation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Employee is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the EDM Machine.

Programming and CAD Design associated with EDM.
General Tool Making Mills / Lathe / Grinder
Responsible for all other duties assigned
Preventative maintenance on CNC / EDM machine. Making sure all weekly, monthly, and annual lubing and greasing
Inventorying spare details for dies making sure we have at least two spares for all high wear perishable items.
Inventorying all drills cutters and CNC / EDM supplies to notify tooling manager to order.
Working with Tooling manager and Tool Room Lead man in making a batting order for work to be completed on machining centers based on priority.
Organizing the CAD files on C drive to be more efficient.
Assisting tooling manager in quoting tooling cost and design of new tools.
Reverse engineering of existing tools that do not have any CAD.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Must be able to run all tool room equipment.
Must be able to operate Auto CAD Drawing.
Must be able to run Mastercam software.
Reverse Engineering
Must possess knowledge of stamping and dies.
Must possess organizational skills such as file management.
High School Diploma
Must pass the pre-employment drug screening.
