We are seeking an experienced and passionate Director of Education to partner with the Director of Operations and leadership team at our premier early learning school in Reading, MA.
This is a hands-on leadership role for an early childhood educator who is passionate about curriculum, teacher development, and creating meaningful learning experiences for young children. The Education Director will support the educational program across the school, ensuring that curriculum is thoughtfully planned, developmentally appropriate, consistently implemented, and continually strengthened.
A primary focus of this role is to build on our already strong curriculum and educational practices and take them to the next level. The Director of Education will work closely with teachers to strengthen lesson planning, classroom practices, assessment, learning environments, and communication with families. Through ongoing coaching, collaboration, and professional support, this role will help teachers feel confident, supported, and equipped to do their best work.
The ideal candidate is a collaborative and supportive leader who enjoys working alongside teachers, recognizes opportunities for growth, and can translate best practices in early childhood education into engaging and meaningful classroom experiences. This person will help foster a culture of learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement among the teaching team.
In partnership with the Director of Operations and leadership team, the  Director of Education will also support the successful day-to-day operation of the school. Responsibilities will include assisting with staffing and scheduling, supporting staff supervision, and helping ensure appropriate classroom coverage and ratios are consistently maintained.
Full-time, year-round | Monday–Friday | Shared opening/closing shifts 
Salary range of $60,000 – $70,000+ annually, based on experience, education, and EEC certifications, plusannual bonus eligibility for EEC Director Qualified Candidates.

QUALIFICATIONSEducation (Required): Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.ECE Leadership Experience (Required): Minimum 2-5 years as a Director in a licensed Childcare Center with 100+ students and 35+ teachers.Certification (Required): MA Director II Certification.Physical Requirements (Required): Ability to lift up to 50 lbs to support child safety, including lifting infants and assisting in emergency situations.

Compensation: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
