Organization's Summary Statement:
The School of Pharmacy at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) invites applicants to apply for an Adjunct faculty position in the areas of Pharmacy Practice and Administration. UMES is located in rural Maryland and is one of America's most beautiful campuses. The School of Pharmacy is dedicated to developing exemplary pharmacy professionals and scholars who are committed to patient-centered care, lifelong learning, discovery, and service for diverse communities of the Delmarva Peninsula, the State of Maryland, and around the world. Faculty are dedicated and promote a positive work environment. The UMES School of Pharmacy utilizes a three-year, year-round, modular curriculum. Courses in our curriculum are team-taught.

Responsibilities:
- Teach and develop courses with laboratories in the areas of pharmacy practice and experiential education.
- Create assessment questions and other classroom activities
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Pharmacy
- Post-graduate residency/fellowship training or equivalent experience
- Experience in Academia
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- A commitment to teaching a diverse population of graduate students at the
university level.
- Ability to work effectively and collegially with faculty and staff in and of the
School of Pharmacy
Physical Demands:
- May require extended periods of standing, bending, sitting at desk.
- May require lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Requires communication with a variety of constituents externally and internally.
- Requires operation of a variety of office equipment.
Preferences:
- Expertise in geriatrics, pediatrics, or informatics.
Minimum Qualifications
The title Lecturer will ordinarily be used to designate appointments of persons who are serving in a teaching capacity for a limited time or part-time. The normal requirement is a Master's degree in the field of instruction or a related field, or equivalent professional experience in the field of instruction. Appointments to this rank are typically one to three years and are renewable.
