EFDA Opportunities -

$2,000 Sign-On Bonus (Full-Time) | $1,000 Sign-On Bonus (Part-Time)

Rother Dental is a well-established practice in the Mechanicsburg area. We are seeking a Full-Time Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) or Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centered care and making a meaningful impact in the lives of our patients.

By working closely with our skilled EFDAs, our team is able to deliver the highest quality care while ensuring smooth, efficient procedures and exceptional patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for procedures and ensure comfort.
  • Take radiographs for diagnostics.
  • Set up and maintain treatment rooms.
  • Review and update patient dental records.
  • Assist with placing and contouring fillings.
  • Support in placing sealants and restorations.
  • Able to complete coronal polishing, fluoride applications, and oral hygiene education.
  • Sterilize equipment to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Provide post-procedure care instructions to patients

Requirements

What You'll Bring (Minimum Requirements):

  • Active EFDA license for Pennsylvania or completion of a Dental Assisting Program (Or expected in the next 3 months)
  • CPR certification (in-house training available)
  • PA X-Ray License
  • Strong communication skills to foster team spirit and ease patient concerns
  • Knowledge of and adherence to OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control procedures

A Plus If You Also Have (preferred, but not required):

  • Prior experience using dental software, including Open Dental
