Job Description
Shift: $18.50/hr, 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM, Mon to Fri, 3 Months Contract to Full Time Employement We are seeking a Switchboard Assembler to build and modify electromechanical equipment including switchboards and lighting panels. The role requires hands-on assembly using hand tools, power tools, and blueprints while ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and production standards. Candidates will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment supporting production schedules and customer requirements.Responsibilities:
- Assemble switchboards and lighting panels using mechanical tools and assembly techniques
- Interpret blueprints, bill of materials (BOM), and one-line diagrams
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments
- Process and track work orders using computer systems and scanning devices
- Perform wiring, cable connections, and component installation
- Inspect assemblies to ensure compliance with specifications and tolerances
- Identify and report non-conforming materials or documentation issues
- Disassemble and rework units as required
- Prepare finished products for shipment including packing and labeling
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment following safety standards
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 6 months of assembly experience in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, mechanical assembly, and electromechanical systems
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and measuring tools
- Basic computer skills for work order processing
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (bending, lifting, climbing)
- Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and adherence to quality and safety protocols
- Must be at least 18 years old with reliable transportation
