Graco manufactures and markets premium equipment to move, measure, control, dispense and spray a wide variety of fluid and powder materials. What does that mean? JOB PURPOSE:
Responsible for production of manufactured electromechanical environmental monitoring instrumentation. The main function of the role is to ensure that all manufactured/serviced items are built/serviced, calibrated and tested to ensure optimum quality for the customer. Work is to be completed to a high standard with zero defects. Examples of activities include manufacturing & servicing (to work instruction) of GA, Gxxx, Fixed Position Systems, etc. Completion of associated paperwork and IT requirements.
The Electrical Assembler is responsible for the quality of the products/goods produced. The electrical assembler will assemble subassemblies, final assemblies, complete associate paperwork including documenting serial numbers for part tracing, load firmware/software, and conduct required testing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Must have experience working with PCB, electrical wiring, and electrical components
- Strong soldering and de-soldering skills
- Solder/Mount assembled components, such as, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits and sockets on chassis panels & on PCBs.
- Must have good technical background and understand basic electronics
- Use hand tools such as crimps, stakes, wire strippers, cements, press fits, or similar hand tools
- Must be able to pot required components
- Must be able to tin wires
- Must be able to work with small components
- Layout control boxes; drill and punch. Layout back panels; drill and tap.
- Plan, layout and perform diversified wiring on a variety of custom and standard products.
- Loading firmware/software onto required subassemblies/final products
- Test electrical controls and adjust as required
- Ability to follow strict rules and procedures to meet Good Manufacturing Process and Safety requirements.
- Assist the supervisor and alert him/her to non-conforming components.
- Ability to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively, unsupervised, under own initiative
- Excellent eye for detail.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong teamwork capability, supporting others when required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Essential:
- High School diploma or GED.
- 2-3 years of related experience
- Experience in building electrical control panel or electrical system integration experience.
- Intermediate IT Skills
- Good mechanical aptitude using hand and power tools.
Desirable:
- Minimum of a two-year degree in electrical or electro-mechanical technology, or other relevant degrees in which the majority of the curriculum is related to electronics, electrical or electro-mechanical assembly/repair/diagnostics.
- Knowledge of NEC electrical standards.
- Certificates in Basic Math, Basic Blueprint, and/or Math for Manufacturing and Blueprint Reading for Manufacturing Certificates, (PC Skills for Manufacturing*), (Measurement Skills for Manufacturing*) or equivalent trade-school certificate(s).
- The ability to layout set up performs standard operations and performs unique operations where quality, tolerances, and sequences are specified.

The base pay range for this position is listed below, exclusive of fringe benefits or other compensation. If you are hired, your final base hourly rate will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, competencies, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we will also consider internal equity of our current employees. Please keep in mind that the range provided is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at or near the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth.
