Job Description

In this position...

This role places you on the Plant Vehicle Team (PVT) at Ford's Michigan Assembly Plant (MAP), working directly on the Bronco and Ranger programs. You'll own Electrical and Electronic module quality, troubleshooting both hardware and software issues in real time. As part of Ford's Product Development organization, you'll serve as the first line of defense for vehicle quality, digging into root causes and helping continuously raise the bar on the quality of every vehicle that rolls off the line.

What you'll do...

  • Identify and deliver current model design projects with support from core and VFG leaders.

  • Initiate/support Worldwide Engineering Release System (WERS) Concerns (CR) and alerts for design changes and plant trials

  • Keep a clear communication channel on daily work/activities with Direct Supervisor/Peers, while maintaining resilience to balance among daily/weekly new demands.

  • Work collaboratively with VRT counterparts at sister plant Dearborn Truck Plant for common issue identification/containment.

  • Lead plant trials for quality, cost, and supplier improvements .

  • Support plan in resolving stop ships/builds, campaigns, quality issues, ergo issues, & first time through (FTT)issues.

  • Support Daily binning meetings, daily plant quality meetings, biweekly VRT report outs, biweekly VRT Report Outs, and monthly Vehicle Quality Reviews.

  • Support Launch on Major and Minor programs. Utilize Diagnostic Engineering Tool (DET) and Ford Diagnosis and Service (FDRS)tool to assist vehicle triage.
