Location: Columbus, OH

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to lead and execute electrical engineering projects from pre-sales through commissioning. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in power systems, control design, and electrical standards, along with the ability to collaborate across teams and deliver high-quality engineering solutions.Responsibilities:

• Lead electrical engineering projects from pre-sales to commissioning• Design UPS/DC power systems and switchgear configurations• Develop control schemes using PLCs/relays for automated operations• Prepare BOMs and modify designs as per project needs• Perform generator sizing and load analysis• Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and cross-functional teams• Ensure compliance with electrical codes and standards• Review electrical drawings, submittals, and specifications• Support installation, testing, commissioning, and site activities• Provide technical support and innovative solutions

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering (PE license optional)• 4+ years of relevant electrical design experience• Strong knowledge of UPS, switchgear, and power systems• Familiar with NEC and electrical codes/standards• Experience with AutoCAD/Revit and MS Office• Ability to read electrical drawings and specifications• Knowledge of Modbus, TCP/IP, RS-485, Ethernet (preferred)• Good problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills
