Job Description

Talon is a small business engineering firm providing innovative, end-to-end, rapid-turn solutions to our government and commercial clients. Founded in 2019, Talon employs over 150 Aerospace and Defense engineers and other support staff to solve complex engineering problems for a variety of applications to include aircraft, ballistics, cybersecurity, motorsports, armor development, biological systems, missiles, and warheads. Talon has an office in Tucson, AZ that is providing high fidelity computational models/analysis and technical services support to Fortune 500 companies.

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer with a strong background in system-level design and testing, encompassing both analog and digital circuitry. This role involves full lifecycle design responsibilities-from defining functional requirements to supporting production-while working closely with cross-functional teams including mechanical, software, and firmware engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead electrical system design efforts for new and existing products to meet performance, reliability, and compliance standards.
Support full product development lifecycle: requirement definition, design, test, integration, and production support.
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and system-level issues efficiently to ensure product reliability.
Develop engineering and production-level test procedures and custom test fixtures.
Collaborate with production teams to resolve technical issues and maintain manufacturing continuity.
Utilize computer-aided engineering and design tools (e.g., Altium, OrCAD, etc.) for circuit design and layout.
Create and maintain design documentation, drawings, and engineering change orders.
Work with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to support engineering projects and product development.
Research, design, and test electrical components and systems to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
Deliver designs that meet cost, performance, and manufacturability targets.
