Job Description
We are seeking an Electrical Designer to join a growing engineering team in Hampton, GA. This role focuses on creating electrical control drawing packages for high-voltage switchgear and power switching devices. Youll collaborate closely with sales, manufacturing, and quality teams while driving projects from design through customer delivery.Key Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality wiring diagrams and schematic drawing sets for control, motor, and heater circuits
- Apply ANSI, IEEE, ASTM, CSA, and other industry standards to all design work
- Troubleshoot wiring and installation issues, issuing documentation for engineering changes
- Coordinate with sales, vendors, and customers to ensure order fulfillment
- Support occasional site visits for startup, integration, or training needs
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering OR 5+ years of CAD drafting experience
- Proficiency with AutoCAD (AutoCAD Electrical preferred)
- Solid understanding of electrical control and protection systems
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Pay: $62,000+ annually (DOE)
- Location: Hampton, GA (30228)
- Schedule: MF, 85 (some flexibility)
- Overtime: Occasional, paid at 1.5x
- Travel: Rare, project-related
