Electrical Drafter
Location: Virginia Beach, VAShift: M-F 8:00 am - 4:30 pmType: direct

Job description:The Electrical Drafter will be responsible for the creation & revision of electrical schematics, electrical bill of materials, and visual aided installation instructions.
Responsibilities:
- Handle complex designing and drafting assignments under minimal supervision.
- Create drawings and models from written and verbal specifications obtained from Engineers.
- Work with Engineers regarding accuracy, design, drafting standards and design documentation.
- Review drawings for completeness and accuracy.
- Maintain all revisions of project drawings.
- Examine and check engineering drawings for compliance with cited specifications.
- Provide timely technical assistance and solutions to the team.
- Participate in project meetings and conference calls as required. Prepare engineering documents for customer submittal.

- Associate's degree in computer-aided drafting and design, engineering technology or similar technical degree
- 3+ years of Electrical Drafting experience
- Knowledge of electrical manufacturing processes and how it relates to design
- Ability to develop design layouts in 2D drawings (schematics)
- High proficiency in Solidworks Electrical
- Hands-on experience with 3D modeling tools such as Auto CAD and Inventor -Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
