Job Description

Electrical Engineer 1 Location: Onsite at Rapid City, SD, with potential for limited travel. Duration: 24 months We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer 1 to join our innovative engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity for emerging professionals passionate about designing and developing electrical components for heavy machinery and equipment.Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop detailed models and drawings of electrical components, including sensor groups, wiring harnesses, cables, and mounting brackets using advanced 3D modeling software.
  • Design and modify electrical schematics, ensuring they meet safety and reliability standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to interpret engineering standards and resolve design challenges.
  • Communicate technical details effectively to team members and suppliers.
  • Support product development through detailed documentation and testing.
Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in 3D parametric modeling software such as Creo, Inventor, or SolidWorks.
  • Strong understanding of electrical design principles within heavy equipment or automotive systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
Top 3 Skills(Required)
  • Proficiency in application of PTC Creo or other parametric 3D modeling tools
  • Experience with electrical design pertaining to automotive or heavy equipment systems
  • Mechanical print reading and/or drafting experience
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Background operating or maintaining heavy machinery.
  • Familiarity with electrical safety standards.
Educational & Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience, including internships or coursework related to electrical design.
