Job Description

Our Dallas office is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with 7–12 years of consulting engineering experience who is passionate about delivering innovative, high-quality design solutions. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of professionals. The successful candidate will support the electrical engineering group and coordinate closely with other disciplines across the firm to deliver integrated design solutions. Key Responsibilities Prepare electrical and lighting system designs, construction documents, specifications, and technical reports Design electrical systems for a variety of building types, including industrial, higher education, healthcare, and commercial facilities Perform electrical system analysis using industry-standard modeling software Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines throughout all phases of design Lead and support project efforts, including interdisciplinary coordination Participate in site visits and construction support activities as required Support business development and marketing initiatives when needed Contribute to mentoring, knowledge sharing, and the continued growth of the firm Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited university Minimum of 7 years of relevant electrical engineering experience Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification (required) Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering (preferred) Experience with local codes, standards, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (preferred) Familiarity with local contractors, architects, and construction practices (preferred) Strong knowledge of electrical and lighting system design across diverse building types Experience with medium-voltage distribution, generation, and protection systems (preferred) Experience with SKM, ETAP, or similar electrical modeling and analysis software Professional experience focused on the power industry, including electrical engineering and design for industrial, higher education, healthcare, and/or commercial projects Working knowledge of applicable electrical and energy codes and standards, including NEC, IEEE, NESC, IESNA, IECC, and related regulations Lighting design experience (preferred) Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and related design tools (preferred) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams Demonstrated ability and interest in leading projects and coordinating across multiple disciplines Willingness to travel occasionally for site visits Ability to work in the office four (4) days per week
