Electrical Engineer (Space Design Experience)

JOB SUMMARY We are seeking versatile Electrical Engineers that can apply their skills and experience to a wide array of design challenges and produce results that enhance the company’s product offerings. Successful applicants will work to develop tangible technical solutions in both the space and ground segment domains in response to customer requests. PRIMARY DUTIES • Hardware development and production of Radio Frequency (RF) and microwave products, EM-based spectroscopy, signature assessment and communications systems. • Perform hardware detailed design, analysis & test activities to develop hardware from inception through entire process from proposal to production and transition into the field. • Board-level design of state-of-the-art RF, digital, analog and mixed signal designs to include robust EMC and thermal design characteristics. • Design of interfaces to spacecraft busses • Designs must meet the rigors of space and be able to function in a space-based environments • Design and integrate electronics hardware, including computing, signal conditioning, sensing and control electronics, filtering, data acquisition, and common digital interfaces • Experience designing electric circuits hardware to meet space requirements • Construct new hardware to support new features of our product suite • Coordinate with team for design reviews, schematic reviews, and layout review. These designs will be radiation hardened and targeted to a Space environment. • Analyze functional (power, thermal analysis, FMEA) and physical design (PCB layout, design for EMC) to assure development of complete integrated design • Manage design of power supplies and monitor power distribution • Collaborate with Project Managers to keep project within scope and on time • Generate and maintain engineering documentation including assembly drawings and test procedures • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance • Contribute technical writing in support of new and current business ventures and projects • Contribution to other team members proposals • The writing of proposals to win future R&D efforts ad Principal Investigator (PI) • The presentation of R&D proposals to win funding
