- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university.
- 5-10+ years of experience designing power systems for mission critical projects, data centers, or healthcare facilities.
- Advanced proficiency with SKM Power Tools (DAPPER, CAPTOR, Arc Flash).
- Strong understanding of NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE 1584.
- Experience with UPS systems, generator paralleling, STS/ATS equipment, and redundant distribution architectures.
- PE or EIT preferred, Not Required
- Demonstrated experience designing electrical power systems on technically complex projects.
- Proficient in design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and related tools.
- Strong understanding of all A/E design disciplines and cross-disciplinary project coordination.
- Ability to effectively communicate and interface with architects, clients, engineers, and trade personnel.
- Skilled in presenting design options and technical recommendations to clients and internal teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong time-management and budgeting skills to meet project schedules and deliverables.
- Proven ability to work productively within a team environment on multiple design and construction projects.
- Field experience with a solid understanding of construction methods, systems, and best practices.
- Ability to travel occasionally as needed to support project activities.
- Design electrical power systems for mission critical environments, data centers, and healthcare facilities.
- Develop and maintain detailed electrical system models of Medium Voltage and Low Voltage distribution system in SKM, consisting of UPS systems, generators, paralleling gear, PDUs, RPPs, and dual fed distribution.
- Perform short circuit studies to verify equipment withstand ratings and identify overstressed equipment.
- Develop protective device coordination studies.
- Conduct arc flash hazard analyses and prepare arc flash labels aligned with NFPA 70E, IEEE 1584, and owner specific safety programs.
- Evaluate system behavior under normal, emergency, and maintenance operating modes.
- Prepare detailed engineering reports with clear recommendations for mitigation, labeling, and operational safety.
- Review one line diagrams, equipment submittals, and as built documentation to ensure accurate system modeling.
- Collaborate with design engineers, commissioning teams, and facility operators to gather data and validate study assumptions and maintain up-to-date SKM model and reports..
- Provide technical guidance during design, commissioning, and troubleshooting of power distribution systems in live or planned data center environments.
- Participate in commissioning, system upgrades and troubleshooting activities as needed.
