Electrical Engineer – HIL Engineer – EV Battery Are you looking to work for a company that provides an innovative work environment, and your voice is heard? We are looking for an electrical engineer to troubleshoot electrical circuits, create device under test (DUT) tests, order parts, integrate those parts and conduct tests.Who we are: LER TechForce is an industry leader in embedded controls, software, functional safety, and engineering talent. For over 20 years LER has been working with customers across North America to meet their engineering resource challenges.What you will be doing:
  • Troubleshooting electrical circuits and the tools to do that
  • Creating the DUT; order parts for the test to integrate into the box; integrate and install the hardware
  • Conduct tests
  • Working with high voltage
  • Learning the HIL - end to end electric side and end to end controls
The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in the following areas:
  • Electrical circuits and the tools associated with troubleshooting
  • Creation of DUT
  • Experience working with high voltage HIL systems
  • Embedded controls
  • Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
  • Knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, and quality control
  • processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience in product lifecycle management and manufacturing support.

What you need to be successful
  • College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred
  • Minimum of 2+ years of relevant electrical engineering design with knowledge of
  • electrical components (battery, power electronics, busbar, sensors, ECUs,
  • harnessing, etc.)
  • Electrical circuits and the tools associated with troubleshooting is required
  • Creation of DUT is required
  • Experience working with high voltage HIL systems is preferred
  • Embedded controls is preferred
  • Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) is preferred
  • Good communicator – written and verbal
  • An effective problem solver who is comfortable using analytical tools.
  • Eager to learn; ask questions
  • Self-motivated
  • Self-manage and communicate what they are working on and issues discovered
