About Pacific Fusion
Pacific Fusion was founded in 2023 with the mission to power the world with abundant, affordable, clean energy.
We are rapidly designing and building a pulsed magnetic fusion system to achieve net facility gain (more fusion energy output than stored energy input). In parallel, we are developing the key components required to build affordable fusion systems.
Our plans are ambitious. We have raised over $900M so far from incredible investors, resourcing us to deliver on these plans. We are bringing together the best scientists, engineers, and operators from the fusion community, hard tech industry, and other sectors. Why This Role Matters
What You'll Do
- Develop facility electrical equipment requirements and guidelines forbuilding systems including electrical infrastructure, building electricalsystems, backup power, and energy management systems
- Assist in the design and development of building electrical systems
- Interface with engineers, scientists, and technicians to obtain facilityelectrical inputs
- Work with the Infrastructure Design Team to ensure building electricalsystems are documented and designed appropriately for permittingdesign, construction, commissioning, and operations
- Develop electrical equipment commissioning, maintenance, andoperations plans
- Oversee the operation, maintenance, and future upgrades of buildingelectrical systems
What You Bring
- Minimum BS, Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 7+ years of experience working in design, construction, facilityoperations, and commissioning for industrial, manufacturing, orresearch facilities
- Experience with medium and low voltage AC systems and high voltageDC systems
- Knowledge of NEC and NFPA 70E
- Hands on experience with industrial, manufacturing, or research facilitycommissioning and operations
- Strong multidisciplinary program management skills and ability to workdiligently across cross functional teams
- Proactive, doer, with a self starter mindset
Bonus Points For
- PE license
- Experience working in a startup environment
- Experience working in industries such as: fusion, energy, aerospace, orchemical
- Experience working closely with PhD scientists and R&D technologyorganizations
Pay Range:
$116,000 - $174,000USD
