Job Description
Qualifications:
- BSEE *
- 7+ years experience in electrical power design or related industry*
- NEC, NFPA, Life Safety, and building codes
- Experience from pharmaceutical, semi-conductor, industrial, research and development, & commercial manufacturing facilities*
- Proficiency with AutoCAD (REVIT MEP experience is a plus)*
- Great communication, able to handle client facing activities
- Collaborate with Principal Electrical authority to ensure compliance with engineering quality levels for assigned projects*
- Oversee development of design concepts to ensure proper application and execution*
- Verify work quality regarding specifications, reports, code application, submittal review, equipment selection, deliverables, and drawings*
- Apply clients risk management practices of project engineering*
- Lead the discipline design to produce construction documents that meet project requirements within given schedules/budgets without excessive resources*
- Have a solid understanding of engineering fundamentals and advanced concepts to execute all required aspects of discipline engineering*
- Encourage collaboration to develop the best solutions*
- Apply best practices to set the proper direction of the project in SDs and DDs*
- Manage work plans and deliverables on multiple projects within budgeted hours*
- Write studies and reports for electrical systems on projects*
- Execute complex electrical designs with conflicting design requirements or limited coordination*
- Evaluate Value Engineering (cost-cutting) items with respect to level of risk*
- Edit and develop basis of design narratives documenting project scope*
- Meet with contractors to review design details
