Job Description

We are searching for an Electrical Hardware Engineer II, Mixed Signal based in Phoenix, AZ. This position will be responsible for the design of audio equipment from initial circuit and mechanical concepts through release to manufacturing. Works with others inside and outside R&D to resolve any issues, technical or non-technical, that arise. Provides technical support to manufacturing and work with some supervision. Provides leadership and guidance to other engineers and helps to review the quality of their work. Plays an active role as a staff member, helping to develop and implement department procedures and design standards. Develop innovative ideas for low-cost design principles and practices.

Essential Functions:

  • With supervision, design, analyze, construct, and evaluate electronic audio products, ensure that all design standards and product requirements are maintained.
  • Communicate design suggestions and trade-offs with product and manufacturing teams, incorporating input to ensure high-quality product design.
  • With supervision, devise solutions to technical problems that arise in products in production. Create engineering change notices, as necessary.
  • Use CAD tools such as PCB layout software, schematic capture software, circuit simulation software to expedite and improve product designs.
  • With supervision, plan and schedule the activities necessary to complete complex long-term projects.
  • Help create and implement R&D procedures and design processes.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • At a minimum, a BSEE/BSET or equivalent is required.
  • 4+ years of experience in related electronic design required.
  • Musical background is a plus.
  • Experience with complex MCU/MPU systems.
  • Experience in high-speed digital circuit design (ethernet, USB, etc.).
  • Experience with digital audio protocols and proficiency with standard electronics test equipment.
  • Ability to construct electronic circuits using basic tools and excellent technical and non-technical communication skills.

Subject to the foregoing, the current pay scale for this position is $80,000 to $95,000 per year.
