Job Description

A prestigious AmLaw 100 law firm is on the hunt for skilled patent agents to enhance their dynamic Patent Practice Group in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. We seek individuals showcasing exceptional academic accomplishments, with a proven track record in law firm environments, the engineering sector, or relevant industries, as well as exemplary communication and writing proficiency.

Candidates should bring at least 3 years of substantive experience in patent drafting and prosecution, possessing a degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, software engineering, computer science, or physics.

Experience in the following areas is highly desirable: • Handling patent prosecution for electrical engineering or software technology, specializing in: • Machine learning, artificial intelligence, or neural networks • Radio frequency (RF) circuitry • Hardware or communications security, such as encryption and decryption methodologies

A current admission to the USPTO is mandatory.

Applicants are encouraged to provide a cover letter, a detailed resume, academic transcripts from undergraduate and possibly graduate levels, and a writing sample, preferably a patent application.

Compensation is competitive, with an annual range of $110,000 to $190,000, determined by experience and qualifications. Additionally, performance-based discretionary bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package are offered, consisting of medical, dental, life, and disability insurance, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, and paid time off.
