Job Description
Are you an Electrical Engineering student eager to gain real-world, hands-on experience while working alongside experienced engineers? Join Encorus Group, a multidisciplinary engineering firm where interns don’t just observe—they contribute. This internship is designed to help you grow your technical skills, explore your interests, and build a strong foundation for a future career in electrical engineering.You’ll work on a variety of AEC and industrial projects, gaining exposure to power systems, lighting, fire alarm design, automation, and NEC code compliance—all within a collaborative, supportive environment that values mentorship, learning, and curiosity.Responsibilities
- Assist with electrical design tasks including power, lighting, fire alarm, automation, and NEC code review.
- Perform basic drafting, redlines, documentation updates, and project file coordination.
- Coordinate design work with internal teams and external professionals, including architects and other engineering disciplines.
- Support project managers with correspondence, material lists, calculations, design concepts, drawings, and project documentation.
- Complete engineering assignments that require critical thinking and creative problem-solving.
- Work independently on small project tasks and assist senior engineers on larger, more complex projects.
- Participate in both office and field assignments, including site visits for field verification and inspections.
- Ensure accuracy, quality, and completeness of assigned deliverables.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and engineering/design software such as AutoCAD, MathCAD, ETAP, EasyPower, or similar tools.
- Ability to collect and verify design and field information, including clearances and functionality.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to comply with company drug screening, including pre-employment tests.
- A valid drivers license.
