Overview
Job Description
- Participate in the design, and development and prototyping of new concepts and test procedures (methods and fixtures)
- Solve technical issues by troubleshooting and determining root cause.
- Design, plan, and execute laboratory experiments to evaluate feasibility of concepts.
- Perform verification testing, which may include protocol development and documentation of experimental execution, as well as report writing.
- Review test data against established acceptance criteria and write appropriate test reports
- Interact with engineers to understand product requirements
- Document relevant information (i.e., new ideas, test results, build procedure, etc.) in lab notebook according to good laboratory practices or company procedure
- Minimum of 2 years of college-level coursework in an Electrical Engineering or related discipline & a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Familiar with electrical R&D equipment used for prototyping common medical devices (oscilloscope, multimeters, soldering equipment, power supplies, cable assembly tools)
- Able to use Altium Designer or equivalent tools for drawing and designing electrical schematics and completing PCB layout.
- Strong organizational skills: management of multiple priorities and timing
- Good interpersonal skills, effective communication with R&D and other departments
