About the role:
As an Electrical Engineering intern, you will perform a variety of technical and engineering assignments. These assignments will be for the Engineering and Technology Group and will include design, drafting, and implementation of electrical, instrumentation, and controls projects. The projects will be of three types: Capital, Expense, and Development. You will work under the guidance of engineers.
You will report to the Lead Engineer and be located at our Ogden facility. This is a paid full-time hybrid position for the summer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Learn and develop electrical 1-line diagram, power plan, electrical schematics and cable and conduit schedules
- Learn and develop piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)
- Learn and develop 2D drawings using AutoCAD software
- Perform inspection and verification of field conditions with 1-line and P&ID drawings.
- Get familiar with National Electrical Code and ISA standards
- Work with a team including multidiscipline drafters and engineers
Qualifications:
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Completed Sophomore year of college
- Experience in AutoCAD 2D
- EIT certificate (FE exam)
- No relocation assistance provided
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The hourly rate for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $22.69 to $27.50 per hour.
