- Provides electrical support, including electrical wiring, controls systems and testing of engineered equipment. Troubleshoots and repairs electrical wiring and controls systems of EnergySolutions field equipment.
- Wires ES supplied engineered equipment in accordance with approved design packages.
- Fabricates control cabinets and controls systems for equipment.
- Troubleshoots electrical wiring on equipment operating in the field or equipment returned for maintenance.
- Troubleshoots controls systems on equipment operating in the field or equipment returned for maintenance.
- Identifies and requisites initiation for electrical parts/components required for inventory.
- Identifies and requisites initiation for controls parts/components required for inventory.
- Provides electrical/controls support for performing engineering testing instructions on ES engineered equipment.
- Reviews/comments on electrical systems/controls systems designed as required.
- Provides electrical support to facility for routine electrical maintenance activities when available.
- Works under direct supervision.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Detailed knowledge of operating equipment electrical circuitry
- Detailed knowledge of controls systems
- Intermediate computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office and AutoCad design software
- Knowledge of controls system software
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to wear Arc Flash Personal Protective Equipment
- Ability to read and follow electrical schematic diagrams and control systems diagrams
