Job Description
Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Electrical Engineering Technician position! This is a direct placement opportunity and will be onsite in Buffalo, NY. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services. No C2C or subcontracting arrangements will be considered.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Serve as the internal "Responsible Person" for electrical compliance across all product lines, maintaining UL/CE/ATEX/IECEx certification standards for centrifuge and vibrating motor systems
- Sign certificates of conformance and maintain UL/ATEX files, drawings, and documentation to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance
- Lead electrical system design and innovation for centrifuge and vibrating motor product lines, supporting both new product development and continuous improvement initiatives
- Design and optimize electric control panels for industrial equipment applications
- Collaborate with mechanical engineering teams to ensure seamless electrical integration across product development projects
- Provide technical service support to resolve field issues and support production engineering teams with manufacturing success
- Manage obsolete component replacement and product updates while coordinating with vendors to maintain optimal internal inventory levels
- Support commercial engineering with cost estimation and pricing analysis for electrical systems
What You'll Need to Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
- Demonstrated commitment to working in the compliance and regulatory space rather than pure design engineering. This role will not include a tremendous amount of design work. It is very compliance and regulatory focused.
- Strong knowledge of UL, CE, and ATEX standards with the ability to read, interpret, and apply regulatory requirements
- Solid organizational and project execution skills with attention to detail for compliance documentation
- Knowledge of autoCAD or similar drafting software for updating drawings and creating electrical schematics
- Hands-on experience with electrical controls, control systems, circuit design, and electrical component specifications
- Working knowledge of compliance certification processes and a desire to build long-term expertise in this specialized area.
Pay Range: $79,000 - $108,000/annually
