Candidates must be willing to work 7/7, 14/14, or the rotating day/night schedule.Target Start DateASAPScope / OverviewThe Electrical Engineering Technician III provides advanced electrical technical support for field maintenance activities, electrical isolation (LOTO), and the safe operation of electrical systems supporting production facilities. This role supports maintenance of electrical distribution equipment, lighting, HVAC electrical systems, motors, and instrumentation while ensuring compliance with electrical safety standards and operational procedures.The technician will troubleshoot electrical issues, support maintenance planning and execution, assist with system reliability improvements, and work closely with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering personnel. This position also provides technical guidance to less experienced technicians and supports continuous improvement initiatives.Primary Responsibilities
  • Support electrical maintenance activities on operating facilities.
  • Perform and verify electrical isolation and Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures.
  • Troubleshoot electrical equipment failures and determine corrective actions.
  • Assemble, install, test, calibrate, and modify electrical equipment and control systems.
  • Diagnose electrical malfunctions and perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Record equipment performance data and recommend repair or replacement strategies.
  • Assist with maintenance planning and outage execution.
  • Support commissioning, startup, and maintenance of electrical equipment.
  • Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Ensure all work complies with company safety standards and electrical procedures.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior technicians.
  • Communicate equipment status and field conditions to supervisors and engineering teams.
Required Qualifications
  • Previous experience in electrical maintenance, power systems, or industrial electrical operations.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and troubleshooting.
  • Experience performing LOTO procedures.
  • Experience maintaining motors, electrical distribution equipment, lighting, and HVAC electrical systems.
  • Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to work safely in an industrial operating environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Applicable electrical certifications or equivalent industry experience preferred.

Manager's Ideal CandidateThe manager is seeking an experienced electrical technician with a strong background in industrial power distribution, electrical maintenance, and LOTO who is comfortable supporting a control-center environment. Experience with SCADA systems, electrical dispatch operations, high-voltage power systems, and industrial instrumentation is highly desirable. Candidates who have worked in upstream or midstream operations, pipeline control centers, power operations, or large industrial facilities will be especially competitive. Flexibility to work any of the required rotating schedules is essential.
