We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a progressive, fast-paced organization in the Construction industry, where you will be responsible for estimating electrical construction costs for a variety of projects, including apartments, office buildings, retail spaces, industrial manufacturing facilities, federal and military installations, gaming and entertainment venues, hospitality establishments, healthcare facilities, and commercial and industrial spaces. This role requires a strong understanding of cost estimation, budget management, design-build, and electrical construction. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in bid preparation, bidding, and take off.
Responsibilities
As an Electrical Estimator, your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing detailed and accurate electrical estimates for a variety of construction projects.
- Evaluating project specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work and required contents of the estimate.
- Managing and coordinating the bid process from start to finish, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Working closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure accurate and comprehensive cost estimates.
- Reviewing and evaluating cost discrepancies and variances.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, market conditions, and technical developments.
- Providing technical support and guidance to project teams during the construction phase.
- Participating in project meetings and providing updates on cost estimates and budget status.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure competitive pricing and cost-effective project execution.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical estimation within the construction industry.
- Proven experience in a variety of sectors such as data centers, multi-family, office, retail, industrial manufacturing, federal, military, gaming, entertainment, hospitality, healthcare, commercial, and industrial.
- Strong knowledge of cost estimation principles and budget management techniques.
- Proficiency in design-build and electrical construction processes.
- A track record of successful bid preparation, bidding, and take off.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications and tools.
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
