Job Description
An experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team and help us deliver accurate, competitive, and comprehensive project estimates.Required:
- 37 years of electrical estimating experience in commercial construction.*
- Working knowledge of electrical systems and NEC requirements.*
- Ability to work independently to produce accurate and competitive estimates.*
- Proficiency with estimating software (Accubid) and plan review tools (Bluebeam).*
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.*
- Hands-on electrical field experience preferred.*
- Ability to manage multiple estimates and meet deadlines.
- Prepare detailed electrical cost estimates for commercial construction projects, including materials, labor, and equipment, and subcontracted work.*
- Review bid documents, plans, and specifications to fully understand project scope and requirements.*
- Perform take-offs from electrical plans and specifications using Accubid, Bluebeam, or similar software.*
- Ensure estimates comply with NEC and project requirements.*
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and field teams to clarify scope and costs.*
- Review subcontractor bids and vendor quotes to ensure competitive and accurate estimates.*
- Maintain organized records of estimates, proposals, and supporting documentation using Bidtracer.*
- Maintain estimating database to ensure up-to-date pricing information.*
- Follow-up on estimates with customers in a timely manner.*
- Develop and maintain new and existing relationships with general contractors, developers and end users.*
- Support continuous improvement in estimating procedures and tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency.*
