Electrical Estimator – Industrial Field ServicesTampa, FL | $60,000–$75,000 annuallyDirect Hire Opportunity 

Superior Skilled Trades is partnered with a growing industrial electrical services company seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator – Industrial Field Services to join their team in Tampa, FL.

This position will support inside sales, field service operations, project development, and customer proposal efforts. The Electrical Estimator will prepare accurate, competitive estimates for industrial electrical projects including field service, maintenance, shutdowns, power distribution, temporary power, equipment installations, overhead and underground powerlines, troubleshooting, and system upgrades.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of industrial electrical construction methods, materials, labor requirements, field productivity, site conditions, and project risk. EEE provides industrial electrical construction, field services, testing, maintenance, power distribution, and overhead and underground line work throughout Florida and the Southeast.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review customer requests, drawings, specifications, single-line diagrams, scopes of work, and bid documents.
  • Prepare detailed estimates for industrial electrical construction, field service, maintenance, shutdowns, upgrades, and emergency response.
  • Perform material, labor, equipment, subcontractor, and vendor takeoffs.
  • Develop pricing for transformers, switchgear, panels, MCCs, disconnects, conduit, cable, terminations, grounding, power distribution, and related electrical systems.
  • Prepare proposals, scope clarifications, exclusions, assumptions, alternates, and supporting estimate documentation.
  • Coordinate with sales, project management, field supervision, engineering, procurement, safety, vendors, subcontractors, and customers.
  • Evaluate site conditions, field productivity, outage windows, equipment requirements, travel, material lead times, and customer constraints.
  • Identify scope gaps, constructability concerns, project risks, schedule conflicts, and potential change-order exposure.
  • Support estimate reviews and project handoff meetings.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience estimating industrial electrical construction, electrical field service, utility, power distribution, maintenance, or similar heavy-service work.
  • Strong understanding of industrial electrical materials, labor, construction methods, field productivity, and equipment requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, single-line diagrams, and scopes of work.
  • Experience preparing estimates, quotes, proposals, assumptions, exclusions, and scope clarifications.
  • Strong communication, organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and estimating software.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to visit customer/project sites as needed.

Preferred Experience

  • Industrial electrical field experience as an electrician, foreperson, superintendent, PM, field service technician, or estimator.
  • Medium-voltage, transformers, switchgear, utility distribution, temporary power, substations, testing, commissioning, or industrial maintenance.
  • Accubid, McCormick, ConEst, Trimble, or comparable estimating software.
  • OSHA, NFPA 70E, lockout/tagout, arc-flash, and industrial safety knowledge.
  • Experience with utilities, municipalities, manufacturing, phosphate facilities, construction sites, or other industrial customers.
