Electrical Estimator

Summary:

An established Commercial HVAC Service Company is looking to hire an Electrical Estimator out of their Davie office. The company provides HVAC Services throughout Florida, and is looking to expand their team in the South Florida area.

Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed cost estimates for electrical projects involving both low- and high-voltage systems.
• Perform on-site visits and field evaluations to assess project requirements.
• Establish and nurture positive, long-term client relationships.
• Contribute to business development activities, including networking and pursuing new opportunities.
• Assist in project planning, coordination, and seamless transition to the operations team.
• Support material quantity takeoffs and purchasing processes.
• Propose value engineering solutions and cost-saving alternatives with every estimate.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or completion of a trade/vocational electrical program.
• Solid understanding of electrical construction practices, including renovation and retrofit projects.
• Working knowledge of the American Electricians" Handbook, the National Electrical Code (NEC), and applicable local electrical regulations.
• Experience using electrical estimating software and cost reference tools (e.g., Means or equivalent).
• Strong grasp of electrical circuitry and load calculation principles.
• Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capable of balancing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable, self-driven, and committed to delivering excellent customer service.
• Valid driver"s license with a satisfactory driving history.
• Ability to successfully complete pre-employment background and drug screening requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to meet ADA physical demands of the role, such as climbing ladders, accessing rooftops, and performing light lifting.
