Job Description: 

MMR is seeking HSE District Trainer candidates looking to work full time out of our District Office in Kemah, Texas. The responsibilities would include, but are not limited to, the following: 

  • Works with Corporate HSE, District HSE Coordinators, and Project Managers to ensure compliance with occupational safety and health regulations as well as client standards, policies and procedures by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and responsibilities
  • Report to the Vice President, HSE and or the HSE Director, works for Corporate HSE Manager in conjunction with the Divisional and Project Managers
  • Develop, revise, and implement safety training programs as needed and/or required
  • Conduct training for Districts and throughout company to support the corporate safety department’s training plan
  • Maintain the training database
  • Provide HSE Training support
    • Performing training for MMR Training Center
    • Performing on-site training
    • Performing on-site re-training as required
    • Performing follow-ups to ensure the training was understood  by our employees
    • Develop training curriculum for Districts and Projects to meet the client, state, federal and MMR’s site-specific requirements
  • Assist District and Project HSE Coordinators project specific orientation training for employees and supervisors
    • Conduct MMR’s Supervisor’s Safety Training
    • Conduct MMR’s Control of Hazardous Energy Training
    • Conduct MMR’s CPR/AED/First Aid Training
    • Conduct MMR’s ESWP/NFPA 70E Training
    • Conduct Mobile Elevated Work Platform Training
    • Conduct Equipment Training
    • Conduct site specific new hire orientation to meet project demands

A.) in Occupational Safety & Health from an accredited university preferred but not required. Must have minimum five years related experience. OSHA 500 Train-The-Trainer certification or equivalent.Certifications and/or LicensesEmployee must possess proper forms of identification such as valid Driver’s License or State identification, and a Social Security Card. State and/or local license/certifications may be required.Certification which may be a plus:  Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST), Construction Site Safety Technician (CSST).Working conditionsThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those and employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.   • Candidate must have the ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and memos.

  • Attend continued education safety training as directed
  • Employee must be able and capable of traveling to and from the jobsite and willing to travel throughout company to assist with HSE Training.

Schedule:
