Job Description
Join a leading nuclear A/E firm who, due to growth, is seeking an Electrical/I&C Design Supervisor to add to their staff on a permanent basis. Compensation $100-125K. 100% remote. Requirements:
- 5+ years of current experience as an Electrical/I&C designer/drafter in nuclear energy or another power producing company/utility.
- 2+ years in a leadership role.
- In-depth knowledge of design principles, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Expertise in 2D and 3D drafting tools - AutoCAD and or Microstation. SolidWorks and Revit a plus.
- Ability to manage individuals working on multiple projects and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment while maintaining strong attention to detail.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and guide a team of design and drafting professionals, ensuring high levels of performance.
- Project Management: Coordinate design activities for multiple engineering projects, ensuring timely and accurate completion of drawings and specifications. Individual will be required to supervise individuals working on multiple projects and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Design Oversight: Review and ensure accuracy and compliance of technical drawings, plans, and designs created by the team.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, project managers, and external stakeholders to define design requirements and address any design or drafting challenges.
- Regulatory Compliance: Work with engineering to ensure all designs comply with nuclear industry regulations, standards, and safety protocols.
- Quality Control: Implement and maintain rigorous quality control processes to verify that designs meet technical specifications and client requirements.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize industry-specific design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit, SolidWorks, or similar) to oversee and manage design work.
- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain documentation of design work, including drawing revisions and project progress.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for process optimization, implementing best practices and innovative solutions to improve efficiency, accuracy, and team output.
