Job Description
• Job Title: Electrical/I&C Technician, Nuclear• Location: Oak Ridge, Tennessee• Type: Direct Hire• Work Model: Onsite
Responsibilities:
- Support Commercial Grade Dedication (CGD) laboratory activities, including executing CGD plans to support Safety Related (QL1) procurement
- Develop, design, and implement test setups to meet testing requirements, including qualification test plans that meet technical specifications
- Perform failure analysis and repairs on electronics (I&C) equipment, utilizing various testing and measurement tools
- Perform environmental testing in accordance with established test plans and coordinate or witness inspections conducted by other organizations or testing facilities
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, procedures, and specifications
- Utilize test equipment such as DMM, AC/DC sources, Hi Pot, Oscilloscope, and others to conduct tests and gather data
- Read blueprints, electrical schematics, and operating manuals; interpret test data and write detailed reports with findings and recommendations
- Operate basic shop equipment safely and correctly, such as drill presses, grinders, and band saws
- Associates Degree in a technical field or equivalent experience in the Nuclear Industry/Supplier environment (at least five years preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and manuals
- Experience with test equipment such as DMM, Oscilloscopes, AC/DC voltage sources, and other measurement tools
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of Commercial Grade Dedication (EPRI NP5652) and Equipment Qualification is preferred
- Strong personal characteristics including teamwork, accountability, initiative, integrity, and professionalism
- Ability to work in moderate exposure environments, lift objects up to 40 pounds, and stand or walk for extended periods
